The First Post

Welcome to the blog, I don't believe this will be the a well written or regular piece but its here none the less.

So to begin this blog I thought I would talk about my logo, I know what a original and interesting topic, anyway here we go.
Lets start with the colour, I originally was going to use a brighter more pure orange but I found that it contrasted to much with most environments. We all know how to limit this clash, Right? That's right Desaturation so I dialled it back to a point where white could be used for the icon allowing me to have a brighter feel without the aggressive orange from the original.

Speaking of the Icon you may have the impression that it looks like the nib of a fountain pen. Remember those? Nope me either. Anyway this form was more accidental then it looks, I had the idea of using a star originally but decided I didn't want a simple 3 4 or 5 point star and more points quickly look to crowded so I settled on a 7 point star. When it came to incorporating a 7 point star I was at a complete loss so I was wasting time moving this star around in affinity designer until I accidentally deleted a point. This sparked an idea I removed the top point and the lower side horizontal points.
Now left with an interesting trapezoidal shape which I found some resemblance to the nib on my pen and so the rest of the shape came naturally from there. The centre line and circle could be seen as a person but I'd be kidding myself if I was going to say I intended that. So I think that about sums up the creation of my logo but I think this is an alright length to a blog I would be reluctant to read a post of much more.
